You’ll have plenty of opportunities to add your own creative touches and make each card unique. While you craft, enjoy a warm cup of hot cocoa with a candy cane stir stick and make your own adorable snowman marshmallows to complete the festive experience. ASL Vocabulary for Kids Come learn basic ASL vocabulary and discover how much fun it can be to communicate with your hands! In this interactive class, children will learn signs for letters, numbers, family members, colors, nature, and more. We’ll practice our new signs through storytelling, songs, movement, games, and other hands-on activities. Students will bring home handouts so they can continue practicing and sharing what they’ve learned with family and friends! Please Note: This class is an introduction to ASL vocabulary rather than a complete American Sign Language course. ASL is its own language with unique grammar and syntax that differs from spoken English. The goal of this class is to introduce children to ASL vocabulary, build a basic understanding and appreciation for the language, and encourage them to continue learning more in the future. Meet the Instructor Tracie Rieder is a former elementary teacher and Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH). She has worked closely with children and families through the Rochester Birth–3 Special Education Program and during her 23 years as a family child care provider. Tracie is also a licensed Signing Time Instructor and a parent coach with Timeout Behavior Coaching.

Kids will get creative as they plant and decorate their very own Halloween-themed planter! Each participant will create a one-of-a-kind arrangement, adding spooky-fun accents and festive touches to bring their planter to life. This hands-on class is the perfect mix of gardening, creativity, and Halloween fun. Kids will enjoy getting their hands a little dirty while designing a festive decoration they’ll be excited to bring home, show off, and enjoy all spooky season long!

Get into the holiday spirit and get your hands a little dirty! Kids will create their very own mini holiday planter using festive greenery and seasonal decorations like pinecones, ribbon, sparkly accents, and more. Each participant will learn a little about planting and caring for their greenery while using their creativity to make a one-of-a-kind arrangement. Kids will head home with a festive creation they’ll be proud to display for the holidays or give as a special handmade gift to someone they love. No green thumb required — just creativity, imagination, and plenty of holiday cheer!

Musicians from Kindergarten through adulthood are invited to grow their skills through individualized piano instruction. Lessons are tailored to each student’s experience, interests, and personal goals—whether they are a beginner, casual learner, hobbyist, looking to strengthen skills that support other musical interests, or interested in pursuing music more formally. Students will work on healthy piano technique, music reading, effective practice habits, and overall musicianship. Music theory and history may also be incorporated based on each student’s level and interests. With one-on-one instruction, students can learn at their own pace while building confidence and a lifelong appreciation for music. Schedule: Lessons are scheduled individually on weekday afternoons and evenings. 30-minute lessons are most common, with longer lessons available based on interest and skill level. Let's get together for some creativity & crafting fun! We will meet once a quarter for an hour of collaboration and imagination! Work with other 3rd & 4th Graders to make a new project each quarter. Get ready to stretch, squish, and smile! In this hands-on class, our mini-scientists will get to measure, pour, and mix their very own custom slime creations to take home! They will also get to touch, stretch, and play with a variety of pre-made slimes! Sign up now for some slimetastic fun!

A fantastic, hands-on introduction to the art of leatherwork! Participants will learn the basics of working with leather while exploring techniques like tooling, stamping, and creating custom designs. Students will get creative as they learn how different tools are used to add patterns, textures, letters, and other unique details to their projects. Each participant will have the opportunity to create and personalize their own leather pieces to take home. This class is a great way to try something new, build hands-on skills, and discover the fun of leather crafting!

Winter Starry Night- A twist on the famous Starry Night. We will be adding glitter to make this painting sparkle! It is very pretty to have a tree with little lights on it and glittery snow! All skill levels are encouraged to register for this class. Penni will guide you step by step through the painting! Along the way, we’ll celebrate the meaning of gratitude by encouraging kids to think about the people, places, and special things they are thankful for. This hands-on class combines creativity, planting, and a little Thanksgiving spirit for a fun seasonal experience. Kids will leave with a festive planter they created themselves, along with a special reminder of all they have to be thankful for. Their finished project makes a sweet Thanksgiving decoration to bring home, display, and share with the whole family!
